According to research reports, active ingredients in antimicrobial soaps and personal care product cause nerve damage. This really is not surprising, as the experts have been warning readers for years. The ingredient is called MIT (methylisothiazolinone), which has been found in various products, including antimicrobial soaps, hand soaps, dish soaps and a many types of personal cleaning products. People purchase these personal care products thinking they're protecting themselves from various infectious microbes. They think these products make them immune to viruses and bacteria, which might be present in their kitchens or bathrooms, and thus they trust in the mythology of using antimicrobial personal care products to create a sterile environment.
The manufacturers of these products who, through advertising, encourage this belief that bacteria on the kitchen counter and in the bathroom are prime reasons for making people sick. But in reality, we don't live in a sterile environment and the only thing, which protects us from getting sick, is a healthy immune system. We are literally exposed to viruses and bacteria thousands of times each day and it is our immune system, which takes care of these threats and keeps us safe.
But most of the consumers don't understand this and believe that they can make their homes clean and spotless by using antimicrobial personal care products and that will somehow protect them from getting sick. But in reality they are giving themselves nervous system problems while promoting the breeding of resistant strains of bacteria. And due to the nervous system damage, which is caused by these antimicrobial ingredients, people are probably accelerating the Alzheimer's disease that is caused by these products. No doubt, people are impacting the learning abilities of their children by affecting and poisoning their nervous systems, too.
It has been found that these active ingredients are chemically similar to active orange, which was used in the weapon of mass destruction used in Vietnam. And while it is not correct to say that your antimicrobial soap contains active orange, there is indeed a chemical compound, which is similar in its purpose, function and molecular structure. Is this something, which you want to use in your kitchen and bathroom? However, millions of people are doing this each and everyday when they use these products. They are literally laying a thin film of nerve agent chemicals on their dishes, and then drink and eat from those dishes.
There are a large number of dangerous poisons used in the form of personal care products in the average homes in developed countries. This is something, which experts have been warning for years. All these products are perfectly legal by regulatory authorities but are quite dangerous at the same time.
For example, a large number of people still use dryer sheets in their dryer that do not serve any important function other than to spread fragrance over your clothing. These are perfume sheets made using perfumes and not essential oils harvested from flowers. These perfumes are synthetic chemicals that are produced in chemical plants and many of them are highly carcinogenic. So after washing the clothes and getting out the entire dirt, people then coat their clothing with a product, which deposits a thin layer of toxic chemicals onto their clothes. In other words, we can say that the clothes were cleaner before they pass through the washer and dryer and now after coming from washer, they are dangerous to health as they have now soaked in toxic chemicals. People put these clothes on every other day, walk around and produce sweat that moistens the clothes and accelerate the diffusion of such chemicals into their bloodstream through their skin. They do all this on their own and then they wonder why they are sick. As the laundry smells like perfume, they think that it is clean.
Now people in an average home in developed countries have become toxic chemical dump. They use antimicrobial soaps, dryer sheets with toxic chemicals, and then there are people who use different types of perfumes and fragrance products, which are loaded with cancer-causing chemicals. There are people who put deodorant in their armpits, which contains aluminum and promote diseases like dementia and Alzheimer's disease. And if that is not sufficient, you can purchase air fresheners, which will release a mist of toxic chemicals into the air, which you breathe so that you can inhale carcinogenic chemicals straight into your lungs. Beyond all this, we have shampoos that are loaded with variety of toxic chemicals and then we have cleaning products, which contain solvents that are also loaded with all sorts of toxic chemicals, and we have the cleaning products that contain solvents, which cause as well as birth defects.
To protect yourself from these diseases and problems, you have to be smart enough to carefully read ingredient labels and determine what is there in these products. You need to educate yourself by reading articles to understand what belongs in your body and what does not. The EPA perceives a wide majority of these chemicals as environmental hazards and it is not legal for the manufacturers to use these chemicals in their products and indirectly allow the users to put them into their bodies.
It is absolutely possible, by the way, to live a healthy life free of these toxic products. All you need to do is to stop buying these toxic products, throw them out, and start purchasing products, which in reality protect your health. You can start this with your laundry detergent, go to the health food store and get yourself some laundry detergent, which is not made the fragrance chemicals.
Change all your soap and get rid of the antimicrobial soaps. Use soaps that are scented with natural and essential oils, such as peppermint and almond oil. Throw out shampoos and other personal care products, which are loaded with garbage ingredients and in reality promote problems like dandruff and hair loss. Most of these products are causing the very problems, which they claim to be solving.
